Description

Computes the mantissa and exponent of the input argument x for base 2, such that x = mantissa*2^exponent. The output argument y receives the exponent value, while the function itself returns the mantissa. The output values are given in base 10.

Arguments

x
Description:	The value whose mantissa and exponent will be calculated.

exponent
Description:	This output argument receives the value of the exponent of x, where x = mantissa*2^exponent.

Returns the value of the mantissa of x, where x = mantissa*2^exponent.
